At the heart of Scouting are hands-on, interactive activities. In Cub Scouts, there are opportunities to spend time as a family and to do things that help build upon the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
Day Camp
From crafting and skit performances to water balloons and relays, one summer camp stands out when it comes to preparing kids for life. We’re talking about Cub Scout day camp.
So just what is Cub Scout day camp?
Most day camps include the following: Various stations and activities generally planned around a theme, which changes from year-to-year. Typically you have craft stations, STEAM activities, BB Guns, Slingshots, Relays, Hiking, and more! And weather permitting, they are almost always outside!
Webelos Action Camp
Webelos Action Camp is a fast-paced adventure for Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts that includes working on advancement while having fun. This is generally a sleep over camp that happens twice a year. Once in the Fall, generally in the middle of September from Friday evening to Sunday morning at the Adventure Base in Duluth. Again in the spring in early June, Friday-Sunday, generally at Camp Chicagami in Eveleth, MN.
FUN with Family
Welcome to Scouting! Our FAMILY FUN DAY events are for all new Cub Scouts and their families. There are various locations around the Council. Fun activities and time to answer questions about the Scouting Program. Generally these take place in the fall.
